Pics from Portland Show

Here are some pics of the show in Portland.

In this show we (Sarah Wylie and I) asked three distinct groups of people to fill out a questionnaire in which they were asked to "Draw and animal like them" and to "think of a single word that described how they hoped 2009 would be for them." The groups were fourth graders from an elementary school in Oakland, coffee shoppers at a coffee shop in Portero Hill, and art students at SFAI.

From this we created a series of self-portraits that we on view at the gallery:



I'm not sure who this guy is, but our works are to the left of him:

Upcoming Shows in LA and Portland



I have work in two upcoming shows. One of my photographs is in a show entitled Being Gay at 2nd City Council Gallery in Long Beach, California.



I also will be showing a new collaborative project I did with Sarah Wylie Ammerman entitled Taking Stock Photos: Animal Like Me in a show called (((DREAMCATCHER))) at Disjecta in Portland. If you are in the area check it out and let me know what you think!
